Biography
Ewa Goral was born in 1984 in Tychy, Poland. She studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow before pursuing an independent artistic path.
For more than a decade, her work has explored the relationship between humanity and the natural world. Plants, seeds, flowers, and hybrid organisms appear not as botanical motifs, but as fragments of an inner landscape. Through non-anthropocentric forms, Goral creates ambiguous micro-worlds, suspended between observation and imagination, organic reality and fiction.
Her practice is deeply attentive to matter, process, and transformation. Natural pigments, recycled canvases, and collected materials extend her reflection on cycles, ecology, and the fragile balance of living systems. Rather than representing nature directly, her work questions what the living world absorbs, preserves, and reveals.
In Goral’s paintings, the vegetal becomes an intimate language: a space of memory, metamorphosis, and silent resistance. Her work approaches intimacy as a universal language, giving form to worlds where life unfolds beyond the human gaze, in all its fragile and unsettling beauty.
